Ebrahim Bu Saad

b. 1954, Muharraq, Bahrain, lives and works in Bahrain 


Ebrahim Bu Saad was born in 1954 in Muharraq, Bahrain. He was the founding member of the Bahrain Art Society and currently works as a freelance professional artist based in  Bahrain.  Busaad has a passion for modern art and calligraphy, and he uses various innovative art techniques and tools to portray his work, such as drawing, watercolor, acrylic paint, oil on canvas, etching silk screens, collages and installations, and other methods. Busaad is a B.A. holder in Fine Arts from the University of Baghdad in 1978. He has also attended various courses in the design and direction of books, notably in Cyprus in 1984 and at Logman, London, in 1992. 


Previously, Ebrahim Bu Saad worked at the Bahraini Ministry of Education 1973 as a calligraphist, an Art Design Specialist in textbooks in 1992, and an Educational Aids Superintendent in the same Ministry in 2004. Busaad is found internationally; his work is permanently showcased in the National Museum of Bahrain, Modern Art Museum of Qatar, National Museum of Sharjah, Darat AlFunoon and the National Museum of Fine Arts in Jordan, the National Council of Culture and Arts in Kuwait and the British Museum in London. 


Derived from his vision, “With art, we excel,” Busaad has always been committed to sharing his work and passion nationally and globally. With this objective implemented in his work, he has held various solo exhibitions and participated in joint exhibitions in Bahrain and overseas.
